Last Minute

An overcast day with periods of rain ended rather nicely with a late showing of sun through the dark evening clouds. Walking along the inlet I turned to see the bright patch in the sky between two willows. I decided a portrait orientation framed the view to its best advantage, concentrating on the sky with the right willow only partially in the frame.

Two shots blended for exposure in Photoshop using a basic luminosity mask. I feel rather pleased with myself because this type of image hasn't often worked out for me.
