London Paris New York Cheltenham
It wasn't raining in Cheltenham.
It was attempting to snow.
It didn't really succeed, but it was bitterly cold ... my friend Dave and I had a wonderful three-course lunch in elegant surroundings. I didn't take any pictures inside because I don't like other people taking photos in restaurants; it feels too intrusive.
Later, on the top deck of the bus, I realised I hadn't taken any pictures. Because I liked FrankS's shop window shot yesterday, I tried to capture this window, in which the display suggests, somewhat optimistically, that spring is on its way. I tried the 'tile effect' filter on my camera. I don't particularly like it or think it adds anything, but I'm stuck with it on this shot. I only took eight pictures today, but it was worth going to Cheltenham in the cold to see Dave, and to dine. Makes a change from my usual lunch of cup-a-soup!
Silly song for a chilly day
