Boca Grande Lighthouse
A morning outing to Gasparilla Island, which is truly stunning. A millionaires retirement island if I ever saw one. I came across quite a few Osprey, caught one eating its dinner on the other side of the water way. This island was once the hunting ground of the Calusa natives, they were incredible fishermen and lived in harmony with the Earth. The island was later over taken by the Spaniards and even later the island was mined for phosphate. The lighthouse was used when they had tug boats for the islands fertilizing produce before a railway was installed.
