The Helvellyn Range

High above Ullswater there is a serene scape of fells, the Helvellyn range. My favourite fell in the entirety of the Lake District is the master of it's range. Many people have lost their lives scrambling to the top and someone has even landed a plane on her, back in 1926. I took this photo from Place Fell as I was almost at the final peak. The wind was so severe I had to bump up the shutter speed to stop any vibration.
