Back to school...

I snuck this photo from our bedroom window this morning. The queue for the school almost opposite our house of parents with their children was incredible. All appeared very happy and pleased to be going back after six months. It will be interesting to see if there is also a queue tomorrow.

My extra is the terrace of Pashley Manor Gardens, where we visited today, a beautiful house near Ticehurst in Kent. (More queuing, this time for coffee and lunch.) The gardens are amazing and jam packed with colour and variety, mainly dahlias right now. Wonderfully kept too during lockdown with gardeners on a furlough rotation.

A cooler day than the beautiful day yesterday but still a great start to September.
