A fun day with Pete at a local brownfield site that is being re-assessed for County Wildlife Site status. The owner and his very keen grand-daughter joined us for much of the day - she followed Pete around, fascinated by all the invertebrates he was finding. I spent a lot of time with the Wildlife Trust officer, who was keen to increase her botanical skills. After a summer with no group visits, it was lovely to have another botanist to chat to!
