Vanellus vanellus

In Scotland we call this bird Peewit, because of its display call, but elsewhere they call it a Lapwing due to its flight mode.    A very pretty bird which can often be seen down at the lochside.

Today has been a mixture of sunshine and showers, and getting very like autumn...... well, I guess it is autumn.
