Swinging out of the bar.

Sometimes your past shoots by you when you are not expecting it. I was on Leeson Street today when I saw this vintage bus pass by. The only thing is that at one point in my life it wasn't vintage. When I was a kid this was the bus that we used going down to Dun Laoghaire. The bus route was the 7A to Sallynoggin.  It was not as colourful as this one it was was usually all green. It went from Sallynoggin into Nelson's Pillar in O'Connell Street. If you were late for the bus you had to run and hang on to the bar and jump on. They were the days before Health and Safety took over and everything became politically correct. If you fell off and broke something it was your fault not the poor bus companies. If Joe's Blips was writing this he would give you a good few more anecdotes about the buses in them days.
