They say an "Englishman's home is his castle". This is Hopton Castle - or rather what is now known as Hopton Castle but is probably just a 'tower house' - a remnant of the castle as such.

It's not exactly very big - more the size of an impressively big detached house than something you'd want to store an army in.

Rather miserable and muddy weather. The light was terrible hence playing with this image. I had to shade the rain off the lens while this exposed.
