Discipline

Yesterday it was very overcast with light rain for some of the time. Other than our usual three daily dog walks, we hunkered down at home.  I did my lunchtime online Tai Chi session.  I join the class twice a week.  It is run by two work colleagues based in Scotland who are training to become qualified Tai Chi teachers.  I like to think of this as my 'lock-down project' which has extended through the summer./autumn  I'm enjoying the discipline of learning the routine and, at times when I feel frustrated, I remind myself how much I have learned since March just through an hour of practice each week.  It is clear that to become well versed and precise in the routine a lot of practice and discipline is required, each day and over many years.  So, I like to think of this as a life skill that I am learning that may bare fruit in the future years as much as it is now.

Today (Friday) we had a trip to the house at Liss and a meeting with a letting agent.  Then I worked on my latest massage course work.  I'm nearly finished with what I have found a rather tedious piece of work.  Just some tweaking here and there now required.  Good to get that nearly done.

So, now it is Friday evening and time to relax with a cup of tea and perhaps by watching the latest video update from the Swiss/Canadian couple we follow who are sailing through the French canals on their way north through Europe.  I hope your week has gone well and that you can look forward to a happy weekend.  Very best wishes.
