Ooh that waters cold
Ireland day 10.
It’s a long road. Well it was thanks to the Sat Nav lady who sent us all around the Wrekin and then dumped us 15 miles away.
On route we visited Kilmallock - a town of considerable importance in the late medieval period - the reamains of the walls which encircled the settlement are still visible. We strolled around the impressive ruins of St Saviour’s Priory, as we leave the priory we look over to the Church of St Peter and Paul in the distance.
Our next stop on our journey takes us to Cahir
( bit of trivia Cahir is Twinned with our very own Scarborough) here we walk around the majestic castle that stands on it’s own island. After our visit to the castle we go in search of the Swiss Cottage . We take the Coronation walk through an enchanted woodland where over the years the school children have made fairy doors to hang on the trees. After a 4km round walk we found the cottage to be closed.
Tonight back in Limerick and just had dinner.
Thank you all so much for your comments stars and hearts for my 200th blip day yesterday. I thought it was today and had planned a big surprise, oh well there’s always my 300th.
