Playing With Fruit

This is a recreation of a photo taken one year ago today. Mom wanted to get a chuckle out of me when I came home in my post-surgical haze.  It worked. How could I not laugh?  The hat is a colander and Melon Head was on the counter looking straight at me when I opened my eyes. Since it was the anniversary of her amazing humor I figured would honor that.
I think it's great that it also happens to be silly Saturday.

On an oddly coincidental note,  the toe I broke that day is the same one I broke several weeks ago while I was on vacation.  It's still swollen and buddy taped!
