2010 - The After Eight Club

Another old photograph, this one from 1997 taken at Mare Harbour, Falkland Islands. The Royal Naval personnel stationed there were known as Naval Party 2010.
We received a regular supply of After Eight Mints from the manufacturer but often had to explain, with great delight, to members of the other two services why we received the mints and why our bar was known as the ‘After Eight Club’.
Fond memories

Today, Bank Holiday Monday, was like any other day really, we dropped Clare’s VW T4 over to Evil Bens for some bodywork repairs, ( he’s not really evil but great name for a business), he wasn’t about and the repair shop was all locked up but we left the van anyway.
With one vehicle off the road I shall be dropping off and collecting Clare from work.
