Genoa
Arrived in Genoa to gorgeous sunshine and clear blue skies, a real bonus on top of being in one of our favourite countries.
Genoa is a proper working city. Unlike some of Italy's more famous and historic towns it has a dark, grubby side that is untouched by the tourist 'dollar' and where it's residents work hard to get by by any means.
We wandered around the port and alleyways all afternoon, eating the best focaccia in the world, taking pictures and trying to decide where to eat dinner (no easy feat).
