Wow today's weather has been dramatic! A huge storm that came onto the island from 3 different directions - torrential rain, thunder and lightening. It's been an 'in' day with a couple of mad dash runs outside for necessities when the rain was merely 'torrential' and not 'incredibly torrential', ha!
One of Danny's mad rushes out was to visit a friend in hospital (in fact the homeless guy I saw last Sunday who looked so unwell, turned out he had pneumonia!!). He got there, armed with requested chocolate, but unfortunately the guy had checked himself out in the morning!! So sad as he's on a course of antibiotics, got a bed, and got meals! Plus he's now on the streets in a crazy storm.
I forgot to say the other day that Nate's new teacher rang me to set up a meeting, it turns out she's one of the 2 ladies who ran D-Nens, the kids place Asha went to from 3 years old onwards (for those of you who have been following my journal long enough to remember that place!)!! I am soooooo so so sooo delighted! It feels like a gift from God!
Today I'm grateful for;
1) Being safe indoors whilst the storm raged. Many friends wouldn't have had that luxury today.
2) The kids being contented with Lego and plasticine.
3) Maria from D-Nens...she's an incredibly kind and fun woman. Nate will love her.
