Grow your own....

....coffee. Our son came over for dinner and brought us fruit and eggs from his garden : a large mango, a pear, different kind of figs.  He also gave us 4 little coffee beans (unroasted) from his coffee plant. He has roasted the little beans and it works fine. You can actually also eat the fruit.
Yesterday in the afternoon the power came back on, problem solved. There were these huge utility trucks from the electric company on our street. 
Weather report: 75 F and marine layer, overcast. Not complaining!
Also: just in the ad from Aldi... a small coffee plant for sale!
