That’s that then.

Got these for a work trip to Shetland in the early 1990s - shortly afterwards they were replaced as standards changed. And they’ve been my gardening boots ever since! On 8 June I posted a photo of their successor; but noted re these great boots “always comfortable, but they’re burst now and coming apart; a few more weeks gardening in them, but no hard graft.” Well today I cut the beech hedge and the grass and at the end of the shift they came apart!

My wife met her sister in the Dakota hotel near Edinburgh today, first meeting since before lockdown. A good experience.

First Minister’s briefing. 3 deaths. New cases still over 150, but now in every mainland Health Board. Let’s see where this goes; further plea for compliance. More restrictions could be imminent. U.K. now 2500-3000 a day. And a Scotgov covid19 App is now ready - another tool.

Limited chat with the family today. We’re having family tea tomorrow.
