Wells-next-the-sea
A day trip to the Norfolk coast seaside. One aim to avoid workmen coming to do next door's and our adjoining hedge. Promise of an 8am start looking remote when we left home at 10am. Hoped they would have a late start.
Cloudy drive which we thought would be better for the 11year old hound. Arrived to a warm, slightly humid coast. As we were walking to the beach allowing dogs the sun came out, beautifully reflecting clouds in the sea.
Poor Murray was very hot by the time we reached the beach. He had a long drink and sit in the cool sand in the shade if a beach hut.
Dogs on the 'dogs allowed' beach were well behaved and there was no human-generated litter or dog mess. People were socially distanced. All very congenial.
Walking back was different and not everyone was giving space to passersby.
It was a lovely day. Added an extra shade to this summer's light tan and hope for a night of uninterrupted sleep.
