Charters Towers
Established in the gold rush about 1872. Money, entrepreneurs and banks built lots of nice Victorian buildings.
By 1990 it had its own stock exchange and telegraph services 3x per day, six days a week!
It’s still a busy country town. That’s Ziggy parked up in the Main Street.
