Pancake Day!!

Pancake Day or Shrove Tuesday its real excitement in the Roo household. But his pancake aim isn't to hot!!!

Pancakes are associated with the day preceding lent because they were a way to use up rich foods such as eggs, milk and sugar before fasting for 40 days....

On Pancake day many events take place the most famous is the pancake race in Olney Buckinghamshire which mainly consists of ladies dressed in aprons and headscarves carrying frying pans and pancakes some men do get involved but still have to dress like this,it started in 1445 and the length of the race is 415 yards!!

I think Roo would be following behind them with his mouth open hoping they missed the pans!!!
