Noises from the SW Front

Tools of the trade

Having been hosed clean of the cloying Arizona clay, now drying before being returned to the garage. My old Dad could grow almost anything, almost anywhere. I may have inherited the gene because my plantings generally thrive, but I derive little joy from working in the garden. Today’s chore was diagnosing the source of an apparent leak in the irrigation system which sustains all of our plants. The required trench was about 8’ long, although only a few inches deep - more than enough in the clay. Found the issue: an easy fix, but the root of the issue was above ground. Of course it was!! Did I mention I hate working in the garden?
