Skara Brae and Skail Bay

After a heavy shower this morning we had a nice sunny day which as we were out at Skara Brae was just as well. A wild wind managed to blow my hat off into a nearby field when I was taking a shot in portrait mode which was subsequently rescued with a long pole by one of the attendants. After leaving the Neolithic monument we headed back to Kirkwall as there is precious little open elsewhere on the island. I mouched about inside the cathedraland then around the ruins of the bishops palace (see extras)
