Clan gathering

George and two of his nursery pals got the chance to represent their school at the launch of East Lothian's Tartan Week this morning. Some sheep at East Links Family Park have been given the tartan treatment and were paraded before the press, led naturally enough by a bagpiper. The kids walked along behind waving saltires.

The sheep had their own ideas about this and as I watched the snappers frantically trying to make sense of it all, I was reminded of the old adage "Never work with children or animals".
