Autumn Goldenrod
Autumn finally arrived and landed with a thump. Cold, wet and a return to long trousers and waterproof jacket. On the plus side, I took a wander into the marsh, where I have been reluctant to go wearing shorts because of ticks. Despite the uninspiring overcast sky, I found a patch of goldenrod to brighten the day.
Using a low perspective put the yellow flowers in the middle of the frame and created more of a relationship with the background trees. I eventually managed to bring down the sky exposure without affecting the bright goldenrod and surprisingly there was enough contrast to make the clouds interesting.
