Sugar baby love
Or Antisocial media?
I set up a new Instagram page for work a couple of months back and for the most part, it’s all good. I try to keep it quite light hearted but at the same time, offer constructive advice and information nuggets relating to all things teeth and gums.
However, for the last week or so, I’ve been getting private messages from guys (mainly from the USA); either squaddies saying ‘hi’ or older gents offering me money to be their ‘sugar baby’.
The fact this is via my professional page really offends me and I’ve no idea what on Earth they see on my page that would suggest I’m remotely interested in finding a sugar daddy!
One in particular got quite nasty that I didn’t reply, so I had to block him. I’ve taken to blocking everyone who sends these types of messages now.
It’s made me thankful that my personal page is by invitation only and also increased my awareness of watching what I post professionally.
I was going to use a photo of my niece and nephew for a piece about children’s teeth, (which I feel I should be able to) but I’m not going to expose my family to potential pervs and weirdos!
