It's A Heron, But Not The Same Kind....

I was out looking for complementary colors, when this Heron flew up in front of me and asked if I was familiar with the Heron Rule.  He said he was sorry that he had forgotten to wear his complementary-colored feathers and proceeded to fly further down the creek than I would have liked for his portrait session.  But it is Abstract Thursday, so I figured that a more painterly shot than usual might just work.  I believe he might be a Great Blue Heron, though I can't be sure....Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting!
