Friday: Tunnel Of Light

Our original plan had been to come back on Wednesday and for me to have the day off yesterday to just potter around and for us to sort ourselves out. But a few weeks ago, Air Canada reduced the schedule from Prince Rupert and cancelling our flight so we ended up staying an extra day.

So it was back to work today but it wasn’t too bad.  There was quite a lot to get through but I deliberately kept the day free of meetings and now have a sense of what I actually need to tackle.  It wasn’t a bad idea to do that on a Friday and start afresh on a Monday.

I went out for a walk this morning and again in the evening.  There was a curious light quality in the air, due to the forest fires to the south.  There was a strong smell of smoke too and an air quality warning.  It’s hard to imagine how bad it must be if it’s making its way all the way up here.
