Autumn's Adornment
I think Autumn has to be my favourite season. There is a quietness that seems to come with Autumn and a sense of things settling down. Well that's apart from the squirrels in the woods. I swear they are a Secret Squirrel Sect - they seem to be in every tree in the village and the woods - scampering amongst the branches, running along telephone wires, and chittering what I am sure must be some plans for invasion! It's like a remake of Hitchcocks masterpiece - but with furry not feathered critters!
Bizarrely with everything settling down and preparing for winter I seem to be waking up! I've been in a state of limbo for many weeks if not months, and am finding it very hard to motivate/move myself to do more than eat, walk Oscar and sleep! My only progression has been from watching Chinese to Korean programmes! I'm pleased to report that the garden is now complete - apart from the painting of the walls! The hallway is also requiring painting now the plaster has dried - Oh how I loathe painting! It's bad enough on smooth walls but the garden walls are roughly rendered and trying to avoid getting paint on the grouting where the wall meets the paving is a nightmare! It's going to be a slow, laborious process and one I've been avoiding! I've done two sections and it was not enjoyable and has not been attempted again for two weeks! But tomorrow is looking promising given that I am beginning to become active. I've made sourdough, cleaned the fishtank and taken some photos and .... yep thats it! But it's a start!
