Trains - by request

One of my few followers in the UK suggested I blip a train. The best I can do is two engines. There are few railway lines in New Zealand. this one is at the ferry terminus between North and South Island at Picton. There are sidings here that contain quite a lot of freight wagons and we have seen these trundling along the line between Picton and Christchurch. Passenger services are few. The service on this line one each way per day. Kiwi Rail advertise this route; the one from Auckland to Wellington and that which crosses South Island from Greymouth to Christchurch. We've been on the latter two and are well worth it as they have observation cars and knowledgeable commentary. The one from Auckland to Wellington takes about 12 hours!
