So hot

Walked along the cliff top and into Scarborough and continued along to the South Bay and harbour. We left the van at 9:30 and it was already very warm, took water for Hetty and kept her in the shade as much as possible. Could not believe how busy it was, coffee shops we passed in the north bay already had people waiting for tables. Had a coffee when we got to the South Bay and then a beer from a boat bar moored at the pier, great views across the boats and up to the castle. Walked back across the top and around the castle, we forgot you have to book in advance to go in the castle. Managed to find a Tesco express on the way back as I needed mushrooms. Back on site and cool drink and read before making a chilli for dinner.
Although it was busy on the paths the beach looked OK, but no dogs allowed and I take notice of signs.
This evening I have ordered a birthday gift for the daughter so feel happy that’s sorted as I was concerned I would struggle to get anything as we are still not comfortable going into shops.
