A Busy Day, Despite the Smoke

Yes, still smoky here, but a little less so. And rain tomorrow night....I will be outside dancing in it, for sure!!

I visited my mom and dad this afternoon - they live in Vancouver, WA just over the river. The air quality was much worse there than where I live in western Portland, but obviously we stayed inside. I played Back Gammon with my mom again - she beat me three times out of four! 

Back home again a very quick wander in the garden to see yet more amazing dahlias. I posted this one fairly recently, but they are so beautiful I can't help it! And if you look closely you'll see a little visitor! So important to try to be optimistic these days....and nature provides such a distraction for me.
