One Of The Newcomers?
People sometimes object to new buildings going up near their own established homes. I wonder if that's how it was here in Dallington, Northants where I live when in England.
St Mary's Church dates from the 12th century and the village pub is almost as old; Primrose Cottage is at least 13thC or older. So I wonder how the inhabitants reacted to the building of this village school in 1840 (pictured).
Now a village hall, it was carefully designed to blend perfectly with buildings up to 600 years older. Perhaps if modern developments were designed to 'fit' like this , people would find them more acceptable.
