Today we celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary with a lovely walk up Place Fell with amazing views over Ullswater. As we have Charley with us who is now 12 we decided it wouldn't be fair to do a big mountain but this was still a good climb and we were back down in the valley by 3pm in time for a pint at the pub garden. It was a good decision as Charley was really tired by the end.

The cottage we're staying at is really remote so we stayed in for our anniversary dinner. We thought it would be fun to get dressed up in our party clothes as we've not had the opportunity in such a long time. We had lots to drink, a lovely dinner then danced in the living room! It was fun! Mike did look funny cooking steaks in his DJ!

We talked lots about Vic today and had lots of tears. I just wish with all my heart it wasn't real.
