Day 6 Betty's Veranda Rebuild

The veranda at Betty's is now complete. There's a little tidying up left to do but we've now moved onto part 2 of the project, this deck near the main house.
It's here I've been digging for the last few days and digging was again how the day started.  At the back corner, nearest the camera, the ground is highest and even when I'd removed all the soil and then hacked my way 10 cm down through the compressed boulder clay it is still higher than the far corner by about 30 cm.   
Using that high point as a reference we moved earth from the higher areas to the lower parts and laid out stones to make the 6 lower beams level. If they are correct then everything else just falls into place!
The framework here is laid out and in position. Tomorrow the fine tuning and the screwing together starts.
At least I've finished digging for now!
