Edinburgh Castle
I was in the church office this morning, and handing in two paintings to an open exhibition at the RSA this afternoon. I don't usually have much luck with open exhibitions, but I figured that if I don't submit anything then I won't even have a chance...! So, we shall see.
We woke up to snow this morning, but it has now changed to driving rain. Undeterred, and while there was still the odd flake floating about, I moseyed along Princes Street Gardens taking photos. I really liked the way the snow highlights the rock structure beneath Edinburgh Castle, and the slight colour from the copper beeches in the foreground. I got a few strange looks from the council gardeners who were about the only people about. I couldn't work out if they had never seen a 'tourist' before, or if they just thought I was crazy for taking pictures in the snow...they've obviously never heard of Blip!
Have a lovely evening all!
