History everywhere....

Back to Wickham Court this morning and I explored a little further.

The aforementioned Henry Heydon owner of the little red-brick mansion, was married to Ann Bullen who was great aunt to poor Anne Boleyn, wife of Henry 8th for a mere 1000 days before she lost her head.

I spent some time with my Year 5 friend enjoying The Wind in The Willows story ready for a theatre visit tomorrow. We were in a room at the top of the building where we could look down on a huge chandelier and one of the grand staircases.

I think there is yet more to learn and marvel at.
