Life through the lens...

Rosebud Flower Farm

As we were going out for Sunday Lunch, decided on a local walk this morning.
Again old haunts, which included passing the bungalow where my mum and dad used to live.
So sad that the garden, which was my dad’s pride and joy, now looks rather neglected.

Along the way we came across Rosebud Flower Farm, and this wonderful field of Amaryllis Belladonna.
Not such a good photo as I had to stretch up over the high Cornish hedge.
A lady passing by said they usually had them for sale at the farm gate, with an honesty box for your money. Unfortunately there weren’t any today.

Also came across some flowering ivy, covered in bees and red admiral butterflies. ( see extra)
Difficult to photograph as they wouldn’t keep still.

Lunch at the Fire Engine was superb. The best roast pork I have had. Superb crackling.
The gentleman on another table agreed.
( Mr C has booked for the same time next year!)

We decided to have a walk down into Marazion, and along the beach. Quite busy but not so many people as last year.
However the carparks were full. I think everyone must have gone over to The Mount as it was open today.
Hope they all walk back before the tide comes in because there aren’t any boats running today.

After that we drove back to the bungalow, just in time to see the end of the Tour de France.
Except I fell asleep!

Another glorious day with sunshine and 22C.
How lucky we are.
