Sunny Sunday

A day in the hills again today, this time with no ridge terror. Much more my bag. I decided to aim for Cadair Berwyn but from the other side. A much better choice because it meant avoiding the tourist trap that is Pistyll Rhaeadr and generally not seeing anyone else. Up over Foel Wen and Tomle and onto the the Berwyn ridge. Cadair Berwyn is just hiding in the clouds in this shot and stayed in the clouds until I left. It was a quiet route but a bit less dramatic than coming up the other way.

The descent was gloriously sunny and took me through some kind of pheasant farm so I had baby pheasants running away from me for about a mile which was quite amusing.

I’m finding that hitting the hills at the weekend is the perfect way to reset for the week. I spent time in thanks for the week that has been and looking forward to the week to come.

Popped in at Groove on the way home to check out progress on the new wood store.
