A Splash of Colour

A visit to the walled garden at Crathes Castle today to see it while the last few days of summer endure.

The garden is very colourful, even though I think the garden is probably at its best a bit earlier in the season, maybe July. A one way system has been introduced, though due to the layout of the garden there are a few places where two way travel is unavoidable.

I have seldom seen the park area as busy. A lot of people taking advantage of the fine weather. There was an ice cream stall, but we did not venture as far as to see if the cafe was open.

Nice to see the garden before autumn arrives later in the week.
