Fields, Sunshine and Clouds

Another beautiful sunny day to get more end of season work done in the garden. The shape of the fields around us has not changed for over 200 hundred years when the last of the stone walls were built when the land was enclosed. The farming remains a mixture of arable, dairy and sheep. Only the farming practices have changed with mechanisation. Some people would want me to edit out the electricity cables and pylons, but for me the are part of the landscape. my expectation is that they will go but the stone walls and gateposts will remain.
