Poorly Paw

Stanley hurt his paw chasing around the recently harvested wheat field. The most likely explanation is that the end of straw stalk jarred into it. He has been feeling very sorry for himself and kept coming for comfort and cuddles. However, there seems to have been a big improvement late this afternoon as his teatime approaches but he is still limping and trying to avoid putting too much weight on that paw.
Feeling distinctly cooler today, with hazy sunshine and a strong breeze. The jasmine has now been tied to the post of the pergola and compost placed around each of the three posts. I have also taken up a little more turf in front of the pergola to widen the flower bed and make the curve more symmetrical with the other side of the arch. More progress.
