The First Day of Autumn
I had to put a
blanket on my bed last night.
Summer is over.

As if we don't have enough to contend with, our provincial Premier announced an election for October 24. We need this election like we need another hole in our heads. What a waste of time, money and energy at an already stressful period! Can I hope that he might lose?
I've been taking my photos for Blip before breakfast and getting them posted soon after. As I was walking around this morning I thought perhaps I must move this activity to the afternoon. It's getting a bit chilly now in the mornings and the light is not so good as summer fades away.
I found it a bit upsetting as I drove around the north shore. I see people lining up at the food bank early. I see street folk moving about trying to survive. I see someone sleeping against a commercial building on a main thoroughfare. Winter is coming. How do they all manage then?
