Sleeping pigeon

The title refers to yoga this morning when I had to resort to a sleeping pigeon, as opposed to a fully awake pigeon - only on my right side. I think over the years I have overcompensated my non dominant left side to the extent that it is now my stronger one. I was also a little stiff after my Munro endeavours yesterday. I return to the same class tomorrow where I hope to do better.
The afternoon was taken up listening first to the PM’s new coronavirus restrictions and then to the FM in Edinburgh. For us in Glasgow the situation has not changed, under stricter measures than the rest of the country, and the early closing of pubs and so on is not relevant. I can understand why folk are girning about the implications but once again fail to see why there is anything illogical about not visiting households, but being able to meet up in a socially distanced, and regulated, hospitality setting. There has to be a balance between lives and livelihoods.
It’s now raining and very unlikely that I will venture out for a walk so I have blipped this dogwood tree which the desk window looks out onto. The colours are probably at their best and already it is beginning to shed a good number of them.
