Turbulent…….
…………….......……Waters
… and windy conditions. Wellington was certainly living up to its name!
I was standing on the shore at Plimmerton looking across to Titahi bay and beyond to the Cook Strait.
The extra is a collage showing Pou Whenua which were unveiled at the entrance of the Hongoeka Marae in January 2019.
Pou whenua (land post), are carved wooden posts used by Māori, the indigenous peoples of New Zealand to mark territorial boundaries or places of significance.
Hongoeka marae is located 9 km north of central Porirua, NZ, just outside Plimmerton. It belongs to the iwi Ngāti Toa Rangatira.
Many thanks for the comments, stars and hearts for the Portuguese man-of-War.
