Jesus Is Waiting . . .

We were driving past Georgetown's massive soccer field complex this afternoon when Jools saw something in the field beyond. "What the hell is that; looks like a giant scarecrow?" she exclaimed, adding a quick, "Whoops, wrong team," as she realised what it was.

"But what's Jesus doing hanging around in an empty field," I wondered. Baffled, we drove on, turned down a driveway and found ourselves in the new Holy Redeemer Catholic Churchyard. Not too many customers so far, it seems, just a snowy wasteland with a couple of large statues . . . Unwilling to tempt providence, we backed out and went on our way.
