We had the day off today, so volunteered to go to Blood Bikes HQ to collect a couple of kits for our latest rider recruits.

The bikes in the garage at the moment used to be Blood bikes, but they are now used as event bikes.
Sadly, I had an email last night to say in light of Boris’ latest announcement, all fundraising events are cancelled for the foreseeable future.

This puts our charity in jeopardy, as we rely on donations generated from the talks and events we attend. We need money to maintain the bikes and keep them on the road so that we can continue to provide the free service 365 days a year to the NHS.

It’s shocking to think that when we aren’t able to operate, taxis charge £45 per journey to transport the same stuff that we do.
