A varied Galloway day

I got myself organised on-line and booked a slot to go to the art gallery as soon as it opened to see the Ewan McClure exhibition. It was a 2 minute walk from the campsite. It was well-organised with one-way system, hand sanitisers by every door etc and nobody was there when I went. It felt almost normal - the first time I’d been in a gallery since March in Edinburgh. (I left Mr C to do the dishes).

We then drove round to Dhoon where we parked up for lunch by the beach (blip) then we went further to Brighouse Bay where we had a woodland walk. The short walk took us to a promontory from where we got a clear view to Ireland. (Blip) The Current PM. had a notion to build a Brexity Bridge nearby.

Oh and lorry drivers will need permits to access Kent. How long has the government had to prepare for this?

#3 daughter is having a very stressful time at school. Not only is she mentoring the student teachers and teaching her own classes, but also she is having to set work for supply teachers. And all Year 11 were sent home after Covid outbreak so she has to plan new lessons and teach them by Teams on-line for 14 days. She just can’t fit it all in. And no friend or relative can help as in our area we can’t meet anyone in houses or gardens.

I walked 3.5 miles today. The foot objects. But it was lovely to be out in the sun and it must be important to walk about a bit before the rest of me seizes up.
