Otter pools, Raiders road

It was quite a chilly night but the van soon warmed up. We headed up the road into Galloway forest park. We paid £2 on a machine at the entrance. The gravel road was single track with passing places but we met nothing.

We parked at the Otter Pools where we hope to freedom camp unless we are moved on.

We have had a short walk in the rain. So far we have seen neither otters or raiders. But there’s time. No midges either - too wet and chilly.
