Gold on gold
Common Evening Primrose (probably, there are so many kinds) - Oenothera biennis
You can see quite a few of these wildflowers growing within 100m of my home. By this time of year their tall stems have almost reached full height and the last of the flowers are appearing. The same stems have been flowering since June, like super-delayed rockets.
Anyway, although we've had quite a lot of sun today, it's also been damp, cold and extremely windy, so I nipped off a single flower and brought it inside to be blipped.
Many thanks to BikerBear for hosting today's FlowerFriday.
Not a lot else. A quick trip into town, a little bathroom cleaning, ordered a strimmer for the garden which should arrive this afternoon. That's it! A good day for catching up on energy!
Have a happy weekend, all xx
