Windblown waves
It's been a beautifully sunny day, but with a brisk, chilly wind.
Busy much of the day on more clearing - beginning to make a dent in the clutter. Late afternoon, we drove to pick up prescriptions in one direction and then grab fish and chips in the opposite direction. Lots of lovely sea views along the way. As we waited outside the chippie for our take-away to be ready, I took the inset photo of Kingswear from the Dartmouth approach to the lower car ferry. We then drove home quickly, keeping our fish'n'chips warm in an insulated bag.
The name Kingswear always bothers me; most people seem to pronounce it Kings-weir, but our late elderly neighbour, who was born there, always said Kings-where. I'm inclined to think that she must be right, and that, like so many place-names hereabouts, it's changed as the assumed and adopted pronunciation of newcomers to the area has prevailed. There are fewer and fewer Devonians living in the area, of which Mr PP is but one.
Have an enjoyable and restful weekend, blipmates.
